On this Outback Australian adventure, spend three days soaking up the iconic sites and natural landscapes of the Northern Territory. Starting in either Alice Springs or Yulara, you’ll watch as the sun sets over the epic monolith from a prime viewing location with your local leader and small group of fellow travellers. Then, walk around Kata Tjuta (formerly known as 'The Olgas') as mighty Mount Olga towers above your track. Walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, maybe take the opportunity to spend the night at the Field of Lights experience, then look up as the brilliant night sky comes alive. End it all back at Uluru with one of the best sunrises you’ve ever seen!

Yulara
<Welcome to Yulara! Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 4 pm at your hotel. Then, you'll head off straight away with your group, making your way to one of Australia’s most spiritually significant and iconic sites – Uluru. When you arrive, enjoy the view from a prime viewing location as the sun sets over the epic sandstone monolith. Watching the landscape shift in colour is a truly unforgettable sight. Tonight, make sure to look up, as this is one of the best spots to stargaze in the country!
If you’re flying into Alice Springs, you can opt to start your trip there instead with a pickup at 'Stay at Alice Springs Hotel' at 8.30 am this morning at no additional cost. Please let us know if you would like to take advantage of this option. It’s very important that you attend the welcome meeting today in Yulara as we will be collecting insurance and emergency contact details at this time. If you are going to be late, please let your travel agent or hotel reception know. Ask reception or look for a note in the lobby for more information on where the meeting will take place. To show respect for Uluru’s cultural and spiritual significance to the Anangu people, alcohol will not be served during the sunset viewing. -

Yulara
<Head out to Kata Tjuta (formerly known as 'The Olgas') – a towering collection of 36 domed rock formations and one of Australia’s most impressive sights. Embark on the Walpa Gorge walk, where Mount Olga towers above the track. Return to Uluru and continue connecting with First Nations culture at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. This afternoon, walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole at the base of the rock. Your leader will explain what makes this waterhole sacred and its connection to the Anangu people. Tonight, maybe visit the Field of Light – an enormous art installation that illuminates the landscape with 50,000 stems of light. -

Yulara
<Start the day early in one of the best ways – watching a spectacular sunrise over Uluru before heading out for a walk along the monolith’s base. Then, make your way back to Yulara, where your adventure will come to an end. If you’re flying out of Alice Springs, you’ll arrive in the early evening. If you’d like to extend your stay, just get in touch with your booking agent ahead of time.
You have the option of finishing your trip either at Yulara Resort (arriving at about 10.30 am), at Ayers Rock Airport (arriving at about 12 pm) or back in Alice Springs (arriving at about 5.30 pm). If your flight from Yulara (Ayers Rock Airport) departs before 1 pm, you’ll need to miss today's activities and make your own way to the airport via the resort shuttle bus. Accommodation is not included today. If you need additional accommodation in Alice Springs, your booking agent can help you, subject to availability. However, we are not able to offer accommodation in Yulara. If you wish to stay longer in Yulara, accommodation will need to be booked directly with your preferred property.
